To have JOIN calculate your FTP from an FTP test, it needs to be done on a day when an FTP test is planned within the JOIN app. You can schedule an FTP test using the 🔄 button, which allows you to either perform the test directly in JOIN or export the workout to your preferred training platform. Once you've completed the test and submitted your feedback, JOIN will calculate your new FTP based on your performance.
Alternatively, JOIN can also suggest an FTP increase on any other day if you achieve a new peak power output for 12 or 20 minutes during your regular training sessions. This ensures that your FTP remains accurate and reflective of your current fitness level without needing to specifically schedule an FTP test every time.
Ramp Test
JOIN will unfortunately not be able to calculate your FTP from a Ramp test. You will need to do this manually by taking your peak 1-minute power at the end of your ramp protocol and multiplying it by 0.75.
Peak 1 min power×0.75=FTP
20-Minute FTP Test
If JOIN did not calculate your FTP from a 20-minute test, you can manually calculate it by taking your peak 20-minute power and multiplying it by 0.95.
Peak 20 min power×0.95=FTP
