How to export workouts to devices or apps not directly supported by JOIN
This article is for users whose device or platform is not listed in JOIN's built-in integrations. If you use Garmin, Wahoo or Zwift, please check the relevant integration articles instead.
Method 1 — Export via TrainingPeaks (recommended)
If you do not already have one, sign up at trainingpeaks.com. The free tier is sufficient for syncing workouts.
- Open the JOIN app and go to Settings
- Tap Integrations or Connections
- Select TrainingPeaks and log in with your TrainingPeaks credentials
- Accept the permissions to allow JOIN to push workouts to your TrainingPeaks calendar
- Log in to your device's companion app or web platform (for example Polar Flow, Sigma Link or your device's desktop software)
- Navigate to Connections or Partner Apps
- Find TrainingPeaks and connect your account
Once connected, workouts that appear in your TrainingPeaks calendar will sync to your device automatically or be available to download from your device's platform.
- In JOIN, open the workout you want to export
- Select Export to TrainingPeaks
- The workout will appear in your TrainingPeaks calendar and sync to your device
Method 2 — Manual FIT file transfer
If TrainingPeaks is not an option or the sync does not work, you can download the workout as a .fit file and transfer it manually.
In JOIN, open the workout and select Download as .fit file. The file will be sent to your email or saved to your device depending on your settings.
Connect your cycling computer to your computer via USB. Open the device's storage and navigate to the WORKOUTS folder. Copy the .fit file into that folder. Safely eject the device and the workout should appear on your next startup.
.fit workout imports before attempting this method.
