For short, high-intensity intervals such as Vo2max and sprints, we recommend turning off the ERG mode on your indoor trainer. This will allow you to push yourself to your maximum without being held back by the ERG mode. While the power levels suggested by JOIN are useful as a guide, if you want to really give it your all, turning off the ERG mode is the best choice.
For longer intervals that require a more sustained effort, such as those around FTP or Tempo levels, we recommend leaving the ERG mode on to maintain a consistent output.
